A STUDY OF PROFESSIONAL COMMITMENT OF B.Ed. PUPIL TEACHERS WITH RESPECT TO THEIR STREAM
Abstract
Professional commitment is core component in the development of dedicated teachers. In the study, an attempt has been made to brief study the professional commitment of B.Ed. pupil teachers in relation to their stream. The present study has been conducted on (600) B.Ed. pupil teachers from the Science, Commerce, and Arts streams at Government, Grant-in-aid, and Self Finance colleges affiliated to C.C.S. University, Meerut. Professional Commitment scale by Dr. Ravindra Kaur, Dr. Sarbjit Kaur, Mrs. Sarvjeet Kaur Brar was used for data collection. The findings show no significant difference was found among science, commerce and art stream students in relation to learner perceptive dimension of their professional commitment. No significant difference was found among science, commerce and art stream students in relation to society perceptive dimension of their professional commitment. No significant difference was found between science and art stream students in relation to society perceptive dimension and professional perceptive dimension of their professional commitment but difference was found between art and commerce stream students in profession perceptive dimension of their professional commitment.
